YOUNG SCRIPTORS CLUB

 

There are abundant of ways to express oneself. One of them is writing. Indeed, students write everyday in classes and in their daily life. From creating a piece of academic essay, to expressing your soul and creative mind in a form of a beautiful poem, writing has become a norm among students of LG240. From a hobby, it became an unstoppable passion.

 

Students used to write on a piece of paper, submit it to a magazine and wait for months for the writing piece to be published. Now, the trend has changed. Blogs and social networks are taking over paper and pens. Twitter, Facebook, Blogger and Wix are are few examples of the new outlets for teenagers nowadays to express themselves. Taking into account these new trends, we decided to create a club where students can have a new technological platform to submit their creative ideas to us. Young Scriptors is a club that incorporates writing and computer skills.

 

Young Scriptors Club, a new platform where writing and technology skills are incorporated into one another creates students with professional writing and expressing skills. By using online blogs as a medium that connect students with one another, Young Scriptors encourage students to submit their creative piece in any form, be it poems, short stories, songs or even critical review, to us via computer.

 

Furthermore, we also provide the opportunity for others to comment and send feedback on pieces of writing and tips for writing posted on the Young Scriptors official blog.

 

Therefore, Young Scriptors is a club that encourages LG240 students to write not merely for classes and assignments, but as an outlet to express themselves. It is a club to further enhance students’ writing skills and adapt this form of expression with the new trend of online blogging; Wix.
